Buy Sphagnum moss biscuits and cuttings in spagnum is a pure premium quality substrate for orchids, cuttings, cuttings and young plants. Available 250g, 500g, 1kg, 5kg. Sphagnum (spagnum) Moss has an enormous moisture-retaining capacity and can absorb 20 times its weight in water. This allows the plants to grow with constant moisture (but not saturated), while also exposing them to air. This ensures better use of water resources and low-frequency irrigation compared to other substrates.
It is the combination of moisture and air that provides an extraordinary process of oxygenation to the roots of the plant. This contributes to faster growth, which in the case of orchid flowers allows a longer life in the flowering phase. The sphagnum moss has antiseptic properties because it contains a phenolic compound called “sphagnol”, which helps the plant resist disease and parasites.
This natural sphagnum moss or sphagnum (spagnum) moss from Chile can be used to fill hanging baskets. It has strong water-absorbing properties and can absorb up to 20 times its own weight in water.
You can also use the moss in various flower creations, but also as a substrate for animals that are kept in moist conditions, such as amphibians and reptiles. Ready to use and of optimum quality.
Moisturize the product in water (a few minutes) and then use it to place in the root zone. Highly recommended for orchids, carnivorous plants, acidic plants and terrarium reptiles. Can be mixed with other substrates.
Sphagnum (spagnum) moss is very easy to care for. It is advisable to keep the moss around moisture-loving terrarium plants. In that case, you can assume that the plant containing the moss will have the same needs as the moss. You must ensure that the temperature does not fall below 15°C or above 30°C at all times.
