Hedera golden flame variegata – ivy pot 6 cm

3.95

The Ivy plant, aka Hedera helix, is an evergreen, woody plant somewhat reminiscent of a Tarzan mini vine because of its long creeping stems. As the name suggests, the plant can climb a solid wall if you let it run its course

De Hedera helix is one of the popular air purifying plants for the home. According to the NASA Clean Air study, the houseplant is effective at purifying benzene, formaldehyde, xylene and toluene from the air. In addition, other studies have shown that ivy also causes less mold in the house.

This evergreen climbing vine is extremely popular in outdoor gardening. You may have already seen the plant as a ground cover in places where grass does not grow, or perhaps as a climbing vine on a wall or on a tree trunk.

The plant requires little maintenance, which has made it quite popular over the years.

However, any gardener will tell you to be careful if you want to use this outdoors as the plant will spread very aggressively - almost like a plague.

Therefore, it is more interesting to keep the plant indoors only as a houseplant. This prevents this plant from overgrowing other plants or structures around your house and has the added advantage of purifying your indoor air.

Taking care of the Hedera helix is relatively simple. Keep the plant in well-drained soil at a constant temperature, give it plenty of direct sunlight and water well. If you can do these things, your Ivy plant will return your love with cleaner air in your home.
