With its butterfly leaves, the oxalis triangularis will certainly stand out wherever you place them. Original, graceful, delicate, elegant… This dark beauty looks great on a piece of white wood furniture or against a wall in a bright color. It is also a lively plant: the flowers close in the evening and unfold again in the morning at first daylight.
Plant it about 2 cm deep in the soil (5 pieces per pot, evenly distributed in a pot with a minimum diameter of 10/12 cm). Place the pot in a bright spot. The tubers need heat and sunlight to grow, so the best planting period is in spring and summer. Water regularly, but ensure drainage. Oxalis also grows outdoors in the ground: the plant then disappears in the fall and usually returns in the spring. Also as a houseplant, the oxalis needs a rest period, usually in winter. Stop watering if the leaves look bad and die. After 2-4 weeks (or longer), new stems will appear, then you can start watering again.
The tubers are small, but don't worry: once they start to grow, you'll fall in love! Keep the tubers dry and cool.
