Ligustrum ovalifolium (Ligustrum hedge) is the well-known Privet that is often used for hedges. Ligustrum ovalifolium grows quickly and is ideal for creating a hedge. This Privet is semi-evergreen, which means that in severe winters it can lose some leaves and branches can freeze. But don't worry, it always grows out nicely in the spring. It is important to prune this strong hedge plant twice a year: in the spring (April) after the night frosts and again in September. In this way the hedge remains nice and compact. If you don't prune the Privet, it will grow white flowers in summer that attract butterflies. Black berries grow in the fall. This hedge plant thrives on all kinds of soil, even poor soils.
The Privet hedges that we offer are all well-branched plants with 3 branches. Privet sizes of 40/60 cm – 60/100 cm are all 2-year hedge plants.
From size 100/125 cm it concerns plants with root ball.
