With its colorful leaves and small size, the Hypoestes phyllostachya is excellent for brightening up areas where there is no room for larger plants. They are available in the colors white/green, light pink/green, fuchsia pink/green and red with green.
The Hypoestes likes warmth and light, without being in full sun all day. So give it a place in the living room and then just a little further away from the window. Certainly not too dark, because then its beautiful leaf markings will fade. It is nice to put several specimens with different leaf shades together.
