De Aloë Vera (cuttings) originates from the Middle East. This succulent or succulent is now widespread in the Caribbean, Central America and Asian countries. It grows to about 60 to 90 cm. It is a slow grower that only flowers after the third year. The bell-shaped flowers are orange-yellow to orange-red and rise up to 1m long flower stems. Although aloe resembles a cactus in appearance, it belongs to the botanical family of the lily plants.

Tip: This tropical succulent is also widely used in the cosmetics world. A gel is extracted from the leaves that is used on wounds and minor burns. Also with eczema. The medicinal effect is greater in plants older than 2 years. As early as 2200 BC. Aloe vera was known as a remedy for skin problems. Egyptians used the sap to embalm mummies.
