Pilea peperomioides (pancake plant) plant
The Pilea Peperomioides, better known as the Pancake Plant or Pancake Plant, has made a comeback, because it was also popular in the 70s. This retro houseplant has flat, round leaves and is therefore reminiscent of pancakes or coins. Originally, this Pilea comes from China, which is why it is nicknamed Chinese Money Plant in English. At the moment, the Pancake Plant is increasingly popular, but previously they were more difficult to obtain. Breeding was only done in Scandinavia. In addition to the simple maintenance of this plant, it is also known for the ease with which it can be taken from cuttings. Fortunately, we can now all enjoy this special and easy houseplant.
