Schlumbergera or Lidcactus is commonly known as the Christmas cactus because it flowers in December. This cactus has pink flowers and is easy to care for. It should be placed in a bright place, but not in direct sunlight, and the soil should dry out between waterings.
The lid cactus prefers a cool place, preferably no warmer than 15 °C, but can tolerate light well. A flower blooms for about seven days. Remove the spent flowers regularly, this stimulates the plant to grow other flower buds. During flowering, water the plant once a week and occasionally remove old flowers.
